Features museum MAAPC
The Antonio Paredes Candia Art Museum has become one of the fundamental cultural spaces of the city of El Alto (Bolivia).
The Museum is named after the Bolivian writer Antonio Paredes Candia, which was the writers most ambitious project.The space has three levels and a library, where the writers collection of paintings and sculptures and his personal library are exhibited.
The set is made up of more than 300 works of art and 11,000 books.Among the creators of the works consigned in the museum are eminent names such as Juan Ortega LeytĂłn, Mario Alejandro Illanes, MarĂa Luisa Pacheco, Julio CĂ©sar TĂ©llez, Arturo Borda, Luis Luksic, VĂctor Zapana, Wálter SolĂłn Romero, Enrique Arnal, Armodio Tamayo, Lorgio Vaca, Marina Núñez del Prado and Emiliano Luján, among others.
The repository also has an extensive collection of archaeological objects from the Mollo and Tiahuanaco cultures, handicrafts, and a collection of viceroyalty art.
